Hudson's Bay Could Learn From Apple

I love Apple but after the iOS 7 update, hate it!

It came glitches.  I lost some data so off to the Apple store.

20 minutes later, problem solved.

And I left buying a new case for my iphone.

Back to loving Apple.

Hudson's Bay should borrow a page from Apple.

Hudson's Bay spends millions in advertising.

But they can't seem to find anyone to man a cash register.

Apple gets it.  

They have the portable handheld devices that takes credit cards and debit cards. And they email you your receipt.

Think of how much data you have now collected.  The marketing you can do.

And save me the aggravation of walking through your store looking to give someone money!

When direct mail is sloppy

I received this from department store HBC (Hudson Bay Company). What you see here is actually 2 mailers.

My business card displays both radio stations. Here they have obviously missed that fact and decided to add me for each station.

Same offer in each envelope. But here is where they lost me and really wasted their money.

I have never bought their HBC cards for employees. Heck I have never bought an HBC card.

Someone didn't do their homework and I wonder how many more on their mailing list are like me. How much did those mistakes really cost.
